See a demonstration of a robotic arm mimicking the movements of a human arm.

Mussle Tussle
Tuesday, Feb. 16, 10:30 AM-12:30 PM, Engineering and Architecture Building, room 102

This demonstration will show a biometric identification technique based on the fusion of visible and infrared images of human faces.

Guest Keynote Speaker: Henry Petroski

Henry Petrosky, Aleksandar S. Vesic Professor of Civil Engineering and professor of history at Duke University, will give an illustrated talk on how engineering and the humanities are often intertwined with a common spirit and purpose.

Hybrid Electric Cell Fuel Car Demonstration
Thursday, Feb. 18, noon-1:30 PM, Engineering and Architecture Building, lobby
See a hybrid PEM fuel cell vehicle that uses three sources of power: internal combustion, electric motor/generator and PEM fuel cells.

Virtual Play-Doh: A Novel 3D Human Machine Interface
Friday, Feb. 19, 1:30-3:30 PM, Engineering and Architecture Building, room 126
Virtual Play-Doh utilizes the Wiimote, a computer, infrared LEDs and anaglyph stereo imagery to allow a participant to intuitively manipulate 3-D virtual objects.

Fourth Annual Poster Competition
Friday, Feb. 19, 1:00-4:00 PM, Engineering and Architecture Building, room 102

The College of Engineering's annual poster competition is an opportunity for students to present their research. Competition participants will be asked to display their posters and give a three-minute presentation before a panel of judges consisting of alumni and external evaluators.
