Lifelong learning and volunteer opportunites for alumni age 50 and up

Temple University offers great lifelong learning programs and volunteer opportunities for alumni who are age 50 and up.

Senior Scholars - A Temple University Alumni Association program that invites alumni and their spouses or partners to audit up to two Temple undergraduate courses a semester.

TemPALS - A program that matches alumni with incoming international students to assist them in adjusting to Temple and the area.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute - Membership in OLLI grants access to one Temple undergraduate course a semester.

Senior Scholars
For Temple alumni and their spouses or partners
For hundreds of Temple alumni (age 50 and up) each year, the Senior Scholars program means no tests and no grades, just the joy of learning with Temple’s diverse students and acclaimed faculty. With a wide range of courses, and with classes located at Main Campus, Ambler Campus, Temple University Center City and online, the Senior Scholars program allows you to pick the course and location that is right for you.

Deadline to register is 5:00 PM on Monday, Aug. 16. Register early; popular courses fill up quickly.

Fall semester classes are scheduled from Monday, Aug. 30, to Wednesday, Dec. 8.

TemPALS
For alumni
Temple University’s TemPALS program matches alumni age 50 and up with incoming international students to assist the students in adjusting academically, culturally and socially to the Philadelphia area and to the university. You can make a real difference in a student’s life and enrich your life as well. Learn more about the program at myowlspace.com/tempals.

To be considered for the TemPALS program, participation in one orientation session (held on Main Campus on Tuesday, Aug. 24) and completion of the online application are mandatory.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
For anyone
Become a member of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Temple University's Center City campus. OLLI is open to anyone age 50 years and up and offers more than 75 classes in the fall and spring semesters, and more than 35 classes over the summer. When you join OLLI, you can attend as many of the institute's classes as you would like, and can sit in on one regular undergraduate Temple course per semester.

Open houses are scheduled for Monday, Sept. 13 and Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM.

Fall semester begins Monday, Sept. 20.
