25th Owl Club Golf Classic Raises Record Revenue
Thanks to a sold-out field of 128 players, fantastic weather and another strong sponsor response, the 25th Annual Owl Club Golf Classic netted nearly $50,000 for Temple Athletics on June 7.

Longtime Temple University Sports Information Director Al Shrier has been named the recipient of the 2010 Arch Ward Award, presented by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Temple Owl Club appreciates the alumni and fans who support our 24 varsity programs each year as well as help us raise money for various projects and enhancements. We are proud to share with you one of our time-honored traditions, the Joseph "Jack" Hutton Owl Club Honor Roll Award.
The award honors a Temple graduate, employee, former employee or friend who has demonstrated outstanding support and/or service on behalf of the Temple University Intercollegiate Athletics program and/or Temple Owl Club. The individuals must excel in one or more of the following areas: leadership, financial support, recruitment of new supporters, ambassador for the athletic programs, volunteer effort, support of games, banquets, and social activities.
On May 11, at the inaugural "William Rinck Legends Luncheon," the following three people were presented with the award:

Temple Athletics remembers its proud supporters and fans who have passed away in recent months.
Agnes "Aggie" Stegmuller, CHP '45, EDU '48, a member of the Temple University Athletics Hall of Fame, played badminton, basketball, field hockey and softball during her college career.
Anne McConaghie Volp, CHP '43, '63, a member of the Temple University Athletics Hall of Fame. Ann was a member of the field hockey, basketball and diving teams during her college career and later coached the Temple field hockey team for 15 years.

Owl Club Memorial Endowment
The Owl Club Memorial Endowment was established by the Owl Club membership in 1998 to honor the passing of Temple Athletics alumni and friends. The funds from the endowment are used to continue our mission of fielding championship teams, to provide life-transforming opportunities to our student-athletes and to represent comprehensive excellence for the university. Contributions can be made in memory of Temple Athletics alumni and friends by contacting the Owl Club at 215-204-2582 or online at myowlspace.com/owlclub. Those who have a gift made in their memory will be recognized on a plaque located in the Owl Club Hospitality Room in the Liacouras Center. |
