TUYA: Basketball Home Opener Special

Temple Basketball's 2010-11 season kicks off on Nov. 12! All recent graduates (2001-2010) are invited to join TUYA to cheer on the Owls and then gather for a post-game event at Pub Webb.

Women's Basketball vs. Ohio State: 5:00 PM at the Liacouras Center
Men's Basketball vs. Seton Hall: 7:30 PM at the Liacouras Center
Post-game party: 9:00-10:30 PM at Pub Webb Bar and Restaurant, 1527 Cecil B. Moore Ave.

$20 per person includes discounted ticket to both games, special seating in the new Graduate Owl Club Section and post-game event with finger foods, drink specials and DJ music. Limited tickets available. Register by Monday, Nov. 8.

The Temple Idea Philadelphia: "Learning About America from Starbucks"
Temple University Center City, room 222, 1515 Market St., Philadelphia, PA
Spend lunchtime in a though-provoking conversation with Temple alumni, faculty and friends. This event will feature a presentation by Bryant Simon, chair of American Studies at Temple, who spent five years investigating hundreds of Starbucks coffee shops around the world. His onsite research led him to a fresh understanding of how and why the company took such a hold on Americans' sense of themselves.
$13 per person includes presentation and discussion, box lunch and beverage
$9 per person for Temple graduates of 2001-2010

At the event, you can also jumpstart your holiday giving by bringing a children's book to support our Holiday Book Drive (see details below). By making a book donation, you will be entered into a drawing to win fabulous Temple gear.

Fifth Annual Temple University Alumni Holiday Book Drive

A partnership between the Temple University Alumni Association, Temple University Black Alumni Alliance and the College of Education.

Join Temple University's annual alumni book drive to benefit elementary schools surrounding Temple's Main Campus. These books are used to aid teachers in the classrooms, build up school and home libraries and improve the students' literacy skills. Last year, over 1,500 books were donated, thanks to our devoted alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends. Donations are considered tax-deductible gifts-in-kind.
