From the Alumni President...
The college is buzzing with activity this time of year. Some 650 new freshmen will join the CLA ranks at the end of August. Outside, grass is being mowed and construction continues and inside professors and administrators are finishing syllabi and research.
Your CLA Alumni Association has been just as busy. Fresh off our outing at Citizens Bank Park in June, we have scheduled another year of exciting events designed to help you network and stay in touch with your fellow alumni. The first of these events will take place at Homecoming in October. Be on the lookout for more information because registration opens Sept. 1!
Let's go Owls!
Jerry Vigna, CLA '73

A Garden Grows in Center City Philadelphia
Wondering where the garden at 20th and Market Street suddenly came from? Ask Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture Baldev Lamba who helped to coordinate the project. The 'ecolibrium' display at the center of the garden originally appeared as part of the School of Environmental Design's exhibit at this year's Philadelphia Flower Show.
The temporary garden provides herbs and vegetables to local restaurants and serves as an outdoor classroom for weekly tours and workshops events through October. For more information, visit Temple's Tumblr page.
