Course Objectives

This clinical, usable information-packed presentation will address the close interaction of the implant surgeon with the restorative dentist and the dental laboratory in achieving optimal esthetic outcomes. Dr. Levine will emphasize the "Team Approach" to the most challenging implant and dental reconstruction procedures and "smile makeovers" involving the careful diagnosis and management of soft and hard tissues and their appropriate sequence in therapy when insufficiencies exist. Treating patients comprehensively using the oral plastic surgeon as a key in the complex prosthetic and esthetic reconstructions will be emphasized. In addition, SameDay Smile® cases of immediately loaded arches and single teeth will be discussed with guidelines for usage of this life-changing therapy for our patients, which Dr. Levine has been performing in private practice since 1994. The use of chemically activated implant surfaces, bioactive proteins (Emdogain®), bone level implants and decreased loading protocols will be reviewed.
