School of Communications and Theater

Global Fusion Dear <name>,

Temple University's School of Communications and Theater is the host of an academic conference dedicated to global media and communication.

The 11th annual Global Fusion Conference will be held Friday, Oct. 14, on Main Campus and Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 15 and 16, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Center City Philadelphia.

The intimate nature and focus of Global Fusion allows for an in-depth examination of the issues surrounding international media. The conference is a popular destination for graduate students and scholars from around the world. Global Fusion is sponsored by a consortium of universities: Temple, the University of Texas at Austin, Ohio University, Southern Illinois University Carbondale and Texas A&M University.

I invite all of our Mass Media & Communication alumni to return to campus for Global Fusion, which marks its first time on the East Coast.

Friday's panels and plenary session are FREE and open to the Temple community, including alumni.

Tickets to the opening reception on Friday evening are $10 (cash in advance or at the door). To attend panels on Saturday and Sunday, you may purchase a conference "weekend pass" for $20. Reception and weekend pass tickets are available in the SCT Graduate Office (344 Annenberg Hall) and at the event (cash only).

Information about this year's conference is available here: http://sct.temple.edu/web/globalfusion/

Sincerely,
Nancy Morris
