I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. For those that did not get the chance to look through last month’s “Summer/Fall Central Stewardship Calendar,” I want to highlight a few dates to keep in mind. More information will be sent as the dates draw closer.

Oct. 6: Endowed Fund Donors will be invited to the Homecoming game (vs. South Florida) and a pre-game tailgate
Oct. 6: Wachman Society and Acres of Diamonds donors will be invited to a Boyer Choral performance and reception in the Temple Performing Arts Center
Nov. 10: All faculty and staff donors will be invited to the Temple Football game vs. Cincinnati and a pre-game reception

Additionally, in early August, Rachel will send out the fiscal year end spending reports for endowed funds, indicating what was spent from your funds in FY 2012.

In late August or early September she will be sending all units your available endowed fund spending reports, which will show what you can spend from each of your endowed funds in FY 2013.

Happy Stewarding!

Donor Touch Tips

  • Have a donor who likes Jazz music? Send them a copy of “To Thad, with Love” a highly acclaimed tribute to Thaddeus Joseph Jones performed by the Temple University Jazz Band. Reach out to me by August 10 to have copies ordered for you.
  • Send local donors a copy of The Forgotten Bottom Remembered, a book of South Philadelphia neighborhood stories compiled by Temple students. Reach out to me by August 10 to have copies ordered for you.
  • Planning an event where food will be served? Use student photos or hand-written thank yous as placemats or under glass table top protectors for decoration. Courtesy of Vicki Blevins
  • Back to school is right around the corner! Select a group of donors to send a printed letter from a new Temple student thanking them for their continued support and letting them know how their first week as a college student went.
