Owl to Join the Chicago White Sox
Temple has only had 25 players selected in the Major League Baseball Draft since 1966; meet the newest Owl to join this exclusive list, Steve Nikorak. Drafted in the 32nd round by the Chicago White Sox this young man has had to fight his way to get to this point, but through perseverance and the will to never stop the sky is the limit for a former owl.

As we close the books for fiscal year 2012, we reflect on the accomplishments of the past Athletics season, on and off the court:
• Over $4.1 million in contributions from Owl Club members—an increase of 102%
• 295 student-athletes achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher in the Spring 2012 semester, the highest rate of academic success in 6 years
• 45 student-athletes gained All-Atlantic 10 accolades, and four reached the status of All-American
• Temple is currently ranked tenth nationally in combined wins by its Men's and Women's Basketball and Football programs over the last three years with 177 wins.
The Owl Club would like to take this opportunity to show our sincerest gratitude to all of our contributors. Without you none of our accomplishments would have been possible. Your dedication over the last year has provided the foundation to succeed and excel in the BIG EAST Conference; the best has yet to come! |
