Temple University has announced a freeze on its base tuition for the 2012-2013 academic year. Temple also will commit an additional $8 million in financial aid available to students and will begin a multi-year campaign for student support. These actions reflect the more than 125 years of Temple's commitment to offering access to a great education opportunity, said Richard M. Englert, who assumed the acting president role on July 1.

"Growing student debt is one of the major issues facing this nation today," said Board of Trustees Chairman Patrick J. O'Connor. "Temple is committed to becoming a national leader in the effort to offer an affordable, quality education." Read the full story.
