Join alumni, faculty and friends of the history department as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the publication of Allen Davis and Mark Haller's "The Peoples of Philadelphia: A History of Ethnic Groups and Lower-Class Life, 1790-1940."
This event is the first in a series of Philadelphia history forum discussions. Author Allen Davis will join Cindy Little, education director and historian at the Atwater Kent Museum, Jim Bergquist of the Villanova history department and Caroline Golab, associate dean at Jefferson School of Population Health, to discuss the book as well as the intellectual climate at Temple University and Philadelphia in the 1970s.
This event is free and will feature Philly-familiar snacks at the reception.
