The Temple University Young Alumni (TUYA) presents a new topic in their professional development series Moving Forward—"Entrepreneurship: The Alternative Career Path."

Standing out amongst the competition when searching for a job is hard enough, but add a difficult economy to the mix, and getting a job after graduation can feel nearly impossible. Some Temple alumni have chosen an alternative career path: entrepreneurship.

Join fellow young alumni to hear why they chose to become an entrepreneur vs. taking a typical 9-5 job, and how they got to where they are today. The panelists will touch upon key topics such as what constitutes a great idea, how to get started and where to find the best resources for budding entrepreneurs. This event will feature a panel of inspiring recent alumni who have started their own companies.

Moderator:
Professor Jaine Lucas, executive director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute (IEI) and Mid-Atlantic Diamond Ventures (MADV)

Panel:
Brendan Lowry, SCT '11, community manager for Storably

Jonathan Schechter, SBM '06, CFO of PhilaPets

Yasmine Mustafa, SBM '07, founder of 123LinkIt and Girl Develop It Philly, board member for Tech Girlz.

This event is free, but registration is required.
