First Master of Accountancy (MAcc) cohort achieves 95.5 percent job placement in public accounting firms

The Fox School’s first Master of Accountancy (MAcc) class has achieved a 95.5 percent job-placement rate, the Department of Accounting recently announced. All of the graduates are entering careers in public accounting and have positions with Big Four, national and regional accounting firms.

The MAcc program was developed in response to the change in legislative requirements for individuals to become licensed CPAs. Candidates seeking the CPA designation in Pennsylvania and most other states must now complete 150 hours of college credits. The Fox School’s MAcc program offers students the opportunity to earn credits beyond undergraduate work and endorses students as “CPA ready,” which, with recent placement data, has proven to be extremely attractive to employers.
