Dear Alumni,

This is a very special year for the Department of Risk, Insurance and Healthcare Management!

We are celebrating the 90th anniversary
of insurance education at Temple
and the 25th anniversary of the highly
popular Annual Awards for Excellence Luncheon.

To celebrate these milestones (and others), we are planning the first–ever class reunion for our alumni. The reunion will take place during the annual award event in Center City in April 2013. This year, the luncheon will be a dinner and gala event. We also have some surprises in store, including awards and an insurance industry guest speaker.

In conjunction with the reunion— and in recognition of the opportunities we face to maintain a preeminent position in risk, insurance and actuarial science education— we will ask for your support in the establishment of the department chair’s Endowed Fund for Preeminence. You will hear more about this in the coming months, but I hope that when you are asked to remember Temple through philanthropy, you will choose to support our efforts to strengthen the department and continue to enhance the value of your degree.
