News and Updates

New Prospect Status Code: In response to a request from several staff, the Prospect Management Committee approved the addition of the Prospect Status code of “Permanent Stewardship.” Please use this code to identify those few prospects who have made a significant commitment to Temple which may not be completed during their lifetime, and whose current level of giving or lifetime totals recorded in Banner would not denote ongoing high level stewardship. Banner Update: The newest member of the IA Services team, Jasmine Dsouza, has completed our new ‘Proposal Entry in SSB’ application. This long awaited functionality will provide all gift officers with an easy to use Self Service Banner (SSB) application from which to enter/edit donor proposals. Read more.

Just in time for Alumni weekend, Colleen Coleman and the Portal team have completed several enhancements to the Event Management module. Along with these enhancements Rick Haskell has built a brand new utility called “TUID Finder” that will make it far easier to match constituents from an external file with existing constituents in Banner. Reeher Training: Reeher representative Seth Hansen is conducting training Thursday, April 11. These trainings will be conducted in TASB Training Room 10. Select staff have been invited to attend one of Seth’s sessions on the 11th. During the week of Monday, April 15 there will be 10 training sessions opened up for all staff to attend. These trainings will be conducted in TASB (rooms to be announced) by the Prospect Management team. Read more.


Alumni Relations Update:

  • Alumni Weekend 2013: In preparation for Alumni Weekend, Alumni Relations is currently looking for alumni and staff volunteers. Read more.
     
  • 2013 Broad Street Run: Bring your families and friends and join the Alumni Relations staff on Sunday, May 5 to cheer on 40,000 Broad Street Run participants, many of whom are Temple faculty, students and alumni, as they make their way through Main Campus. Read more.
     
  • SEI Event: The TUAA, Fox School of Business Alumni Association and the Tyler School of Art Alumni Association are partnering with SEI to host an event on Wednesday, May 22, celebrating art’s impact on innovation. Read more.
     
  • Alumni Engagement: To further strengthen its goal to foster lifelong engagement with alumni, the TUAA has expanded its global chapter network with the addition of the San Diego and Philadelphia chapters and, this spring, will launch the Northern New Jersey chapter. Read more.

 
Stewardship Update
:

  • Thank A Donor Week: April 8-11, 12:00-5:00 PM on Main Campus at the Bell Tower. Students will be asked to write handwritten thank you notes to donors. To volunteer or for questions, contact Shauna Goodman at shauna.goodman@temple.edu or 7-2020.
     
  • Donor Touch Tips: Sending high level donors books published by Temple Alumni and Faculty in their area of interest is a great way to connect with them and share the impact Temple is having around the world. Here are a few recent publications that might be of interest: Read more.
     

CASE Webinar: Frontline fundraisers are invited to participate in the CASE Webinar, “Making the Most of Your First Donor Visit” on Tuesday, May 7. Read more.
