Temple’s Computational Science Symposium

The College of Science and Technology (CST) will host the Computational Science Symposium on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18, 2013.

The symposium will feature many leaders in the field, including Peter Rossky, University of Texas at Austin; Sharon Hammes-Schiffer, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; John Tully, Yale; George Schatz, Northwestern; Princeton University’s Dean for Research Pablo Debenedetti; and CST researchers John Perdew, Jody Hey and Ronald Levy.

Symposium presentations will be wide ranging, including density functional theory; electronic structure of many-body systems; femtosecond excitation; hybrid quantum/classical molecular dynamics; photophysical properties of biomolecules; organic materials for nanotechnology; nanoscale supramolecular structures; and population genetics and genomics.
