Join the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the TUAA and CAPCS to create summer literacy packets for students to extend their learning over summer break. The combined donation goal of 1,000 books will bring new life to the school's library and create a resource-rich space for students to read and grow.

Items needed: Gently used or new children’s books, paper, markers, crayons, stencils, glitter, stickers, pencils and notebooks

Service Projects Teams will include:

Donate & Sort Books for Students - 20 people needed: Collecting donations of new or lightly used children’s books and helping to sort or categorize them in our library.
Paint Literacy Murals - 7 to 10 people needed: Add artful touches to color our canvases with storybook characters and beautiful scenery.
Create Summer Literacy Packets for Students - 15 people needed: Assemble donated books, paper, pencils, markers, stencils and stamps for students to create their own colorful stories over the summer break.
Make a card to students to share why reading is excellent - All volunteers: Help us create 300 cards, which will be used as special gifts placed inside the summer literacy packets.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing evening on the water or want to dance the evening away to a live DJ, this sunset cruise is the perfect thing to enjoy with fellow Owls!

$20 per person includes sunset cruise and 1 drink ticket per person. Cash bar and snacks will be available for purchase. Attendees MUST be 21 years of age or older.
