Boyer College of Music and Dance

Greetings from the Boyer College of Music and Dance!

I thought you’d be interested to know that on Friday, April 5, the Temple University Symphony Orchestra will be performing at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center.

Maestro Luis Biava will conduct the world premiere of Michael Daugherty’s Reflections on the Mississippi for tuba and orchestra, commissioned by the Boyer College. Our faculty member and Philadelphia Orchestra Principal Tuba, Carol Jantsch, will be the soloist. The program will be rounded out with Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 9 in E-flat major, Op. 70, and Rossini’s Semiramide Overture.
