Temple Made Update: Temple Made wins top awards, including Best in Show, from Higher Ed Marketing Report’s national competition. Click here for the complete list of awards.

Spending and Budget Update: Through the end of February we have hired 21 new staff members as part of FY2013 Staffing Investment. In the same period we have expended $3.4M of our budgeted $4.4M leaving $1M available through June 30. Read more.

Reeher Training: A representative from Reeher will be visiting on Thursday, March 14 to conduct hour-long training/refresher sessions. This training is designed for individuals or small groups (2-3 participants). Click here for more training information.

Useful Temple Student Data: The Department of Institutional Research, part of the Provost’s portfolio, compiles facts and data about Temple and its students, including the 2012 Student Profile, which includes enrollment information and admissions statistics and may be of use — and simply of interest — to you. Stewardship Update:

  • Thank A Donor Week: April 8-11, 12:00-5:00 PM on Main Campus at the Bell Tower. Students will be asked to write handwritten thank you notes to donors. List of donors to receive thank you notes will be sent out for additions/changes/deletions at the end of March. Contact Shauna Goodman at shauna.goodman@temple.edu with questions.
     
  • Wachman Society Wine Reception and Flower Show: March 6, 5:30 PM at Pennsylvania Convention Center. The week of March 11, a stewardship letter from two students who worked on the Temple exhibit will be sent to donors who RSVPed that they were unable to attend. Contact Shauna Goodman at shauna.goodman@temple.edu with questions.
     
  • Kimmel Center Concert: March 24 at the Kimmel Center. The reception is at 2:30 PM and the concert is at 4:00 PM. Invitations have been mailed. All fundraisers who plan to attend must notify Rachel Lippoff by March 15 at lippoff@temple.edu.

Owls on the Hill: Alumni are invited to join Temple Student Government and the Office of Government Affairs on a trip to Harrisburg. Students and alumni will serve as group leaders and share their Temple experiences with members of the General Assembly. Read more.

Staff Updates

There are a number of management reassignments that IA employees should be aware of:

  • Jennifer Trautwein will assume the management responsibilities of the advancement operations of the School of Podiatric Medicine, College of Science and Technology, College of Engineering and School of Pharmacy.
  • Scott Reynolds will assume the management responsibilities of the advancement operations of the College of Education and Library.
  • Ashley Lomery will assume management responsibilities of the advancement operation of the College of Health Professions and Social Work.
