Spring 2013 Newsletter

Dear Friend of the History Department,

Welcome to the History Department’s newsletter! As you will see in this issue, we’ve had another successful year. Several faculty members have recently won awards. Dr. Bettye Collier-Thomas won the university research award for her book Jesus, Jobs, and Justice, Dr. Kathleen Biddick won the Provost’s Award for Innovation in Teaching and Dr. Ralph Young won the College of Liberal Arts Teaching Award.

Our undergraduate and graduate students also continue to win awards, prizes and grants. I hope you’ll bolster support for our students by taking a moment to visit our website at www.temple.edu/history and making a gift in support of our graduate student fellowship fund.

Sincerely,
Jonathan Daniel Wells
Department Chair
