Employee Updates

Revised Employee Manual and Rules of Conduct: Human Resources, in consultation with University Counsel, has updated and revised both the Employee Manual and Rules of Conduct. The revised documents are available for review here.


News and Updates

Out of State Exception no longer needed: Effective immediately you will no longer need an out of state exception when submitting an expense report following travel.

Jim Hilty’s History of Temple books in stock: Please be aware we have 3,000 of Jim Hilty’s History of Temple books at an off campus warehouse. If you would like copies to give to your prospects please contact Robert Fisher at rfisher@temple.edu or 7-3428.

Gift Accounting Update: With the end of the fiscal year approaching, we wanted to provide some guidelines for gifts. Please note that June 30 is a Sunday this year.

Credit Cards: If your donors give online through the Temple website on either Saturday, June 29 or Sunday, June 30, these gifts will be counted toward thr end of year progress. Keep that in mind when writing letters or composing emails. Read more.

Stewardship Update: Thank A Donor Week – More than 3,300 handwritten thank you notes were collected from students during April’s Thank A Donor Week. Thank you to all staff who volunteered. Cards were sent to donors the week of April 22. If you receive any feedback or would like to be involved in the planning of the event for next year, contact Shauna Goodman at shauna.goodman@temple.edu or 7-2020.

Reheer Update: A representative from Reeher will be visiting Thursday, May 16 to conduct hour-long training/refresher sessions. This training is designed for individuals or small groups (2-3 participants). Read more.

Alumni Relations Update: Alumni Weekend 2013 – Alumni Relations would like to thank everyone who participated in the planning and execution of Alumni Weekend 2013 . During the weekend, alumni, students, faculty, staff and families found plenty of way to celebrate what makes them Temple Made during an action-packed weekend filled with a trip to the ballpark (and an impressive Phillies win), an interactive student showcase, behind-the-scenes tours of local landmarks, fascinating panels and discussions and a spirited morning run around Main Campus.

Staff Updates

  • Susan Waskey was hired as Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations.
  • Lisa Vaccarelli was hired as Executive Director of Alumni Programming.
  • Carnell Baugh was hired as Associate Director of Analytics.
  • Jessica Lutzke was hired as Major Gift Officer of Fox School of Business and will start Monday, June 3.
  • Kristy Goldy was hired as Assistant Director Corporate and Foundation Relation.
  • Meaghan Hogan has resigned her position as Executive Director of Gift Planning at Temple University to take a role at PNC Wealth Management. Her last day at Temple is Thursday, May 16.
