Boyer College of Music and Dance

Dear Friends,

Thank you to those of you who participated in a magnificent choral alumni reunion. I had an absolute blast rehearsing, performing and celebrating with you. Were we not musically magnificent? Did we not defend Vienna, send Napoleon scampering back to Paris and eat magnificent desserts to celebrate?

Your presence gave us all a great gift—a reminder that choral singing is a lifelong joy. One of my favorite moments of the weekend was watching alumni greet student counterparts from the University Singers in the Haydn on Saturday afternoon. I believe in that moment, the students sensed that they were now part of a great tradition, and had become living, breathing, smiling, torch-bearing ambassadors for choral Owldom. How meaningful it was to hear many of you thank by name the students who stood by you.

Now you have an opportunity to strengthen that continuum of past and present by giving to one of Temple’s choral funds. Your gift honors your past mentors amd also ensures that future students receive the same opportunities you enjoyed here.

Simply click here to make a secure gift to one of the choral funds. Is there a better lineup anywhere than Brown, Cornelius, Harler, Page and Yamron!? To learn more about supporting the choral department, contact Amy Krauss, associate director of development for the arts, at amy.krauss@temple.edu or 215-926-2327.

Best wishes and many thanks to you all. Here’s to the next time, and to the great bigger and better future that lies ahead.
