Choral singers at the Alumni CircleDear Choral Singers and Conductors,

Tempus fugit! Time flies! Yes, indeed, it does. We are only weeks away from what I believe will be a memorable reunion of those of us for whom singing and Temple University have been such an important part of our lives. You will be here April 4 and 5 to share in that occasion, won’t you?

Last week, dozens of Temple choral alumni gathered for Janet Yamron’s now famous breakfast at the Eastern Division ACDA meeting in Baltimore. The great treat for me personally is to hear what each person is doing post-graduation. Represented there were musicians in myriad aspects of music and in other areas such as law! It is incredibly impressive to see how Temple is represented in our field and to hear of the wonderful work our graduates are doing. They clearly value their Temple experience and are making quite a mark nationally and internationally. John Perkins, who traveled from Dubai, got the prize for coming the greatest distance to the meeting.

Come and join many of them and others as we gather in April to celebrate this connection, to learn and to sing with Bob Page, Alan Harler and, who are representing Elaine Brown, Janet Yamron and Sonya Garfinkle. And you do not want to miss singing with and meeting our stellar current faculty, Paul Rardin, Rollo Dilworth, and Mitos Andaya. Join us for one of the many planned activities, including singing Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass with the orchestra for the Saturday finale.

Online registration is available at alumni.temple.edu/choralreunion and invitations also have been mailed out. As Bob Page said, I can’t wait to see you there.
