Did you know that thousands of Temple students and staff participate in Cherry Fridays, when Owls are encouraged to show their pride by wearing school colors on Fridays? Have you heard that Temple students greet one another on campus and across the city with a chipper “Cherry on!”? Have you followed the enthusiastic conversation on social media at #CherryOn?
When school pride organically erupts on a campus, it can have a powerful impact on the school’s culture, visibility and level of support. You are invited to an insider’s look at how new marketing efforts are igniting school pride, inspiring new traditions and uniting Temple students, alumni and fans.
Join Karen Clarke, Temple’s vice president for strategic marketing and communications, and Gregg Feistman, associate professor of strategic communication at Temple’s School of Media and Communication, as they discuss the Temple Made campaign and the student-created Cherry On campaign, which are uniting the Temple community in new and exciting ways. Hear from PROwl Public Relations Firm Director Kaitlyn Sutton, Class of 2014, about the role students are playing in both of those efforts.
