Temple celebrates its 127th Commencement
Temple's 127th graduating class gathered in the Liacouras Center Thursday, May 15, to celebrate the success of the university's largest-ever class. The more than 9,000 students eligible to receive degrees included students who hail from 46 states and the District of Columbia, and 77 different countries.

Temple Student-Athletes Participate in Commencement Exercises
A total of 90 Temple University student-athletes will graduate during this academic year. Sixty-three of those student-athletes participated in the 127th annual Commencement ceremonies, held May 15 at the Liacouras Center. The Commencement exercises celebrated the achievements of one of the largest graduating class in Temple's history with more than 9,000 graduates.

Temple University and the Elmwood Park Zoo jointly announced the introduction of a ticket package for families to enjoy the 2014 Temple Football season and year-round access to the Elmwood Park Zoo. For only $250 a family can enjoy one year of admission to the zoo for two adults and up to six children plus 2014 Temple Football season tickets for all six home games at Lincoln Financial Field for two adults and one child (additional child season tickets may be purchased for $25 per child). Women's Rowing Finishes Fourth at 2014 American Championship; Two Novice Boats Earn Medals
Temple women's rowing concluded its season with a fourth-place finish at the inaugural American Athletic Conference Championship on Sunday at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J. Two Owl boats—the novice 4+ and the novice 8+—won medals with third-place finishes.
2014 AJ's Field Hockey Camps and Adult Tournament Dates Set for the Summer
Summer dates have been set for AJ's Field Hockey Camps—run by Temple Head Field Hockey Coach Amanda Janney—as well as for two adult tournaments.

Myron Waxman, FOX '52, is the executive director of the Pennsylvania Wine and Spirits Association. In January, the association announced it would pledge $16,000 to the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management to establish the Pennsylvania Wine and Spirits Association Scholarship Fund.
Lynne Cherry, TYL '73, published Empowering Young Voices for the Planet, with Sage Publishing. Cherry is an author, illustrator, filmmaker and lecturer.
Stephen A. Capus, SMC '86, was appointed executive editor of CBS News and executive producer of The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley. Previously, he served as president of NBC News and executive producer of NBC Nightly News. Capus also serves on the board of visitors for the School of Media and Communication at Temple.
Jose M. Concha, POD '96, developed Fungasoap, a skin cleanser for pre- and post-amputee patients.
Louisa D. Grandin, CLA '05, '07, published The Bipolar II Disorder Workbook: Managing Recurring Depression, Hypomania, and Anxiety with New Harbinger Publications. The book is designed to help those living with that condition manage their recurring symptoms.
