Bridging the Gaps Facilitating collaboration between home and the classroom The College of Education at Temple University and the Temple Teacher Network are sponsoring a free three-part workshop series on parent engagement for future and current PreK‒12th grade educators. The workshops will highlight effective strategies for building respectful and collaborative classroom cultures, supporting parents, and building a toolkit for approaching families as partners in student success. These parent engagement plan (PEP) workshops will be facilitated by Connie Grier, EDU ’90, adjunct professor at Temple and former Philadelphia school teacher and administrator. Fall 2015 Workshop Dates Tuesday, Sept. 29 Tuesday, Oct. 20 Tuesday, Nov. 17 Temple University, Main Campus, Ritter Annex 179 1301 Cecil B. Moore Ave., Philadelphia 4:30‒6 p.m. To register for the PEP workshop series, complete this form by Sept. 18, 2015. Refreshments will be served! Enrollment is limited to 25 people.
