+ A Message from Dean Laura A. Siminoff
CPH Clinic

November 23rd is officially Public Health Thank You Day. It’s a reminder that the mission of public health is to make everyone’s lives healthier, safer, and longer.

At Temple, our College of Public Health encompasses nine academic units working toward a healthier future for this generation and those to come.

A year ago, the College of Health Professions and Social Work became the College of Public Health (CPH) encompassing public health, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, physical therapy, communication sciences and disorders, kinesiology, and therapeutic recreation. All these fields make important contributions to the quality of life for individuals and populations. All of you, no matter which department or school you graduated from, are CPH alumni.

So, on this day, I want to thank all of our 35,000 alumni who are making the world not just a healthier place, but also a better place. Please take a moment to visit our website, come and visit us on campus, and please consider supporting our important efforts to continue to provide outstanding educational and research opportunities to a future generation of health professionals.

+ 14 Days left to support 5 CPH programs in Fall 2015 Owl Crowd Campaign
CPH alumni: we need your help! On October 23rd we set out on a mission to help five departments within the college support a special project of their choice. Our cumulative Owl Crowd goal was to raise $20,000 in 7 weeks. Many of you have logged on and donated to our projects and we sincerely appreciate your support.

With only 14 days remaining in the Fall 2015 Owl Crowd campaign (ending on December 7th) we must raise another $9,000 to meet our goal and we need your help to ensure every project from CPH is successful. Here is how you can help: click on one or more of the five projects below to learn more about them and to make an online donation, or you can mail in a check directly to:
