Hello and greetings from the College of Public Health (CPH). Some of you may know us by a different name. In addition to department names changing over the years, the College took its new name last October. As an accredited college of public health, our students will have increased funding and educational opportunities.

CPH educates 4,600 students each year and this May I had the privilege of conferring over 1000 new degrees. Those students are trained in diverse health fields including nursing, social work, kinesiology, physical therapy, communication sciences and disorders, rehabilitation sciences, health information management, *epidemiology and biostatistics, *social and behavioral sciences, and *health services administration and policy.

Our faculty and graduates work to solve difficult health-related problems, prevent disease and support one mission: to enhance the quality of life for everyone.

Regardless of what department or college name is on your diploma, you are part of our success and our story, today and in the future.

Thank you.

Laura A. Siminoff, Ph.D.
Dean
