Because of alumni support, we are
  • undergoing the first extensive curriculum update since 2005 to provide students with opportunities for hands-on, real-world experiences. Students will now participate in a simulated night on call during their capstone and complete internal medicine and surgery rotations through Temple University Hospital.

  • establishing a unique physician assistant program to fill a great need in the region. This year, approximately 50 students will be accepted into the program and work side by side with our MD students.

  • reaching new heights in research, recently making international headlines with discoveries and innovations. In 2015, our researchers completely eradicated HIV from human cells, uncovered evidence linking HPV to a common form of childhood epilepsy, developed gene therapies for heart failure, and invented a noninvasive maternal blood test that will help predict, guide and monitor abnormal fetal neurodevelopment.
