Make it an all-Temple Saturday on April 25 as we bring back old favorites and introduce new events for alumni of all ages. Here's how you can you can make the most of Alumni Weekend:
 
Rise and shine for the 5K or fun walk presented by the College of Public Health. New this year: chip timing!
 
 
 
Visit the Bell Tower Festival featuring "Touch-a-Truck" for kids and a beer garden sponsored by Victory Brewing Co.
 
 
Check out the 2015 football team at the annual Cherry & White football game.
 
 
 
Top it all off at the all-alumni pop-up party Dîner en Cherry for a magical end to the day!

Temple Alumni Speak Out on Future of Journalism
Dean Boardman of the Temple University School of Media and Communication will moderate the signature educational event of Alumni Weekend, The News about the News: Obstacles and Opportunities in Today's Media Landscape. Alumni Kurtis Lee, SMC '09, and David Wood, SMC '70, will share their perspectives on the evolution of journalism and rise of the citizen journalist. This event is free but registration is required.
 
Alumni Societies are Owl-over Alumni Weekend
Alumni weekend is not only a chance to catch up with classmates, but also to reconnect with Temple alumni with shared interests. Join Temple University Young Alumni (TUYA) at the Phillies pre-game reception or sign up to run with the Temple Women's Network (TWN) 5K team. Round of the weekend by meeting up with your fellow TUYA and TWN members at a rendezvous before Diner en Cherry.

Temple Toast shatters goal
On Feb. 17, the Temple Toast to Russell Conwell, a fundraising birthday celebration for the university's founder and first president, resulted in an outpouring of support from the Temple community.

Student-run café serves affordable local food
A completely student-run, cooperative café—the only one of its kind in the region on a university campus—Rad Dish Cooperative Café offers local, organic, budget-friendly food.
Class Notes
Joseph M. Medeiros, SMC '73 wrote and directed the award-winning documentary Mona Lisa Is Missing, about the 1911 theft of Leonardo's masterpiece. The film, which was test-screened twice at Temple in 2011 and 2012, is now available online. Previously, Medeiros served for 15 years as the head writer on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Christine Charyton, EDU '94, '04 published Creativity and Innovation Among Science and Art: A Discussion of the Two Cultures with Springer. She is a visiting assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Ohio State University, and her work has appeared in more than 30 peer-reviewed publications.

Karen M. Murphy, FOX '07 was appointed secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health in January. Previously, she was the director of the State Innovation Models Initiative at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation in Baltimore, Maryland, and president and CEO of the Moses Taylor Health Care System in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
