Ring of Kerry

Enchanting Ireland, a beautiful, magical land, is a country where warmth and hospitality are national traits and poets are national heroes. There’s no better way to discover the fabled "Emerald Isle" than on our small group Temple Travels tour, a 13-day trip starting at $4,558 total price per person (air and land inclusive), August 23 to September 4, 2015.

St. Patrick's Cathedral

Our journey begins in Dublin, Ireland’s capital, where we visit Trinity College, home of the stunning Book of Kells; and St. Patrick’s, the national cathedral of the Church of Ireland. On our way to Galway, we visit a 6th-century monastic site. While in Galway, we explore Inismor, the largest of Ireland’s Aran Islands. Then we continue on to the rugged, silent landscape of Connemara, where we visit Kylemore Abbey, one of Ireland’s most photographed castles.

Moving on to Killarney, we stop to admire the famed Cliffs of Moher along the way. In Killarney we take a jaunting-cart ride to Ross Castle. We also visit Muckross House, an Elizabethan-style manor housing the Kerry Folklife Center showcasing Irish arts and crafts. Next, a memorable dinner at a family-run B&B. Later, we view the stunning mountain and coastal scenery of three Irish peninsulas along the Ring of Kerry. We also explore Kilkenny, a well-preserved medieval city known as Ireland’s cultural capital and have the rare opportunity to kiss the celebrated Blarney Stone.
