Dear ##First Name##,

I understand you’re a Temple graduate. I just joined you this past Friday as a class of 2015 alumnus. I am excited about the Alumni Gift Challenge and thought you would be too. I'm hoping you will make a donation so it can be matched dollar for dollar, because I, along with the entire class of 2015, really want to meet the challenge!

You see, I’m on the student-led Temple University Emergency Medical Services team. We are all certified EMTs, which means we have training in how to help with basic life support in the event of an accident or injury on Main Campus.

When something happens, we get a radio dispatch request from Campus Safety Services telling us of a medical emergency. We bike to the scene and do what we can to stabilize the patient and calm everyone down until the ambulance arrives. It’s hard work, but I really love doing it, and people tell me they really appreciate it.
But I know the future TU EMS teams could do an even better job if they had a utility vehicle. We can’t carry many supplies on bikes, and a truck would let them get where they needed faster. So when I tell you I hope you take advantage of the Alumni Gift Challenge, I promise that your response really does matter to me!

I know there are a lot of good causes out there, and I hope you choose to support Temple. If you have a few dollars to spare for your school (especially now when your money will be doubled), please send them in quickly.

I volunteered with Temple EMS because I believe in giving back, and that’s something that Temple people seem to understand.

Thank you, and stay healthy!
