Dear ##First Name##,

I’m a senior in the School of Media and Communications, studying media studies and production, and I wanted to reach out to you about a program that is very close to me and my fellow classmates, the Temple Student Emergency Fund.

As an active participant and member of student-run organizations such as the Main Campus Program Board, Temple Student Government and the Residential and University Conduct Board, it’s important to me that there are programs that help our students. By making a donation today you will be helping a student this upcoming semester.

As my classmates and professors know, I am a hardworking and driven individual, but there was once a time when I needed assistance. My father has an on-going medical condition and at one point I was facing financial hardships that jeopardized my ability to stay enrolled. The Student Emergency Fund, a fund that provides financial assistance to those facing unforeseen hardships and emergencies, offered me the support that I needed to stay in school. With the aid of donors, I am happy to say that I will be graduating this upcoming December and starting a job with Teach for America in the DC region.

So please, make a contribution of $20 to the Student Emergency Fund, and you will impact the life of a student like me.

Thank you and cherry on!
