School of Medicine Auxilary Gala 2015
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
On behalf of the Temple University Hospital Auxiliary, Temple University Hospital, and its physicians, clinicians, nurses, scientists, researchers and beyond, thank you for your unwavering support of the 62nd Annual Acres of Diamonds Gala!

On Saturday, May 2, 460 attendees came together at the beautiful Westin Philadelphia to celebrate our exceptional physicians and their incredible work. Through your generosity, we raised over $330,000 for Temple University Hospital—successfully fulfilling our goal—to support the wonderful patient-focused programs at the hospital and help better service the Temple Health community.

The Diamond Award, presented at the gala each year, honors individuals or groups with exemplary records of social responsibility in the Temple community. It was such a privilege to present this award to the Temple University Hospital’s Department of Emergency Medicine led by Department Chair Robert McNamara, MD. This department was recognized for its role as the backbone of frontline emergency care in Philadelphia, and as a major lifesaving force in this city.

Hilferty, president and CEO of Independence Blue Cross, for his long-standing commitment to improving healthcare. The Auxiliary Service Award honored Fran Dunphy, head coach of Temple University men’s basketball, as a member of the Temple family who has demonstrated service and tireless dedication to those in need. And the Trailblazers Award recognized Yoshiya Toyoda, MD, PhD, professor of surgery and chief of cardiovascular surgery at Temple, as a visionary leader who exhibits courage, perseverance and a pioneering spirit to improve healthcare for our community.
