When we unite as a community, our momentum is hard to stop.
Temple University
Dear Temple community:

This past weekend, our university was in the national spotlight. On the field and off, we shined.

I’m so proud of all of you―students, faculty, alumni, staff and friends―who donned your cherry and white, came out for early-morning events and showed a national TV audience how Temple Owls take charge of every opportunity. I’m also grateful to all of you who were respectful of our opponents, considerate of our neighbors, and supportive of one another. Sheona and I were in the mosh pit at GameDay from 7:30 a.m. onwards, and we were so impressed by how enthusiastic, but polite, our fans were.

I hope you enjoyed seeing people throughout the city adopt us as Philadelphia’s team. Around the nation, we’re now better known―and more widely-respected―because we came together to harness the power of our Temple pride. I have received notes from all over the country about what a great light Saturday cast on Temple.

More than anything, last weekend showed us that when we unite as a community, our momentum is hard to stop. I think the photo below summarizes how we all feel.
