Dames at Sea
Helen Hayes Theater
240 West 44th Street
Doug Maine (SMC '71), planning board member of the Metropolitan New York Chapter of the Temple University Alumni Association (TUAA), is also a co-producer for a stellar, funny, and entertaining musical currently having its Broadway debut! Invite fellow alumni and friends to join you.
About the show: Dames at Sea is a musical with book and lyrics by George Haimsohn and Robin Miller and music by Jim Wise. The musical is a parody of large, flashy 1930s Busby Berkeley-style movie musicals in which a chorus girl, newly-arrived off the bus from the Midwest to New York City, steps into a role on Broadway and becomes a star. It originally played Off-Off-Broadway in 1966 at the Caffe Cino, starring newcomer Bernadette Peters and then played Off-Broadway beginning in 1968 for a successful run. The show has enjoyed a London run, a television adaptation and a number of revivals, before its Broadway premiere in October 2015.
How to get tickets: We have a great friends and family discount for tickets. The friends and family discount code is DSFNF826 and can be used at the box office, over the phone, or on the Telecharge website. The discount offers $89 orchestra and front mezzanine tickets, or $49 rear mezzanine tickets, subject to availability. Offer expires 12/31/15.
Invite fellow Owls and friends to join you for a wonderful evening on Broadway. |
