Fox Student Alexis Werner Is Finalist for Peace First Prize
Alexis Werner, class of 2018founder of Seeds of Hope, is a finalist for the Peace First Prize based on her organization’s work with veterans. Of the 27 finalists, only five will be chosen as recipients of a $25,000, two-year fellowship that acts as Peace First’s investment in that young person’s future to create change. Werner is a sophomore at the Fox School of Business.

Sean traces some of his earliest career successes to the connections made during his time as an undergraduate, and continues to work to maintain those relationships with his fellow Owls today.

Class Notes
Bill Milnazik, TYL ’80, designed the logo for the World Meeting of Families, held in Philadelphia in September. Milnazik’s artwork was used on a wide range of materials, including signage, T-shirts, official documents and the event’s online platforms.

Mahmoud Jardaneh, ENG ’03, is participating in a one-year Mike Mansfield Fellowship Program in Japan. Jardaneh is among 130 fellows to enter the program since it was established by Congress in 1994. He will seek to understand the Japanese regulatory requirements to evaluate the impacts of natural hazards on nuclear power plants and gain insights into the technical and cultural aspects of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident.

Rachel Zatcoff, BYR ’11, made her Broadway debut in September in The Phantom of the Opera as the Christine alternate, one of two cast members who rotate in the leading female role.
