We are saddened to announce the death of Dr. Raymond DiPrimio, age 85, formerly of South Philadelphia, on April 14, 2016.

Dr. DiPrimio practiced podiatry in South Philadelphia for many years and was a professor at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine for over 50 years.

During his years of teaching, he was recognized and honored by many classes as Professor of the Year. In 2007, he was honored by the members of the Stirling-Harford Honorary Anatomical Society such that his name was added to the name of the society, which is now known as the Stirling-Harford-DiPrimio Honorary Anatomical Society. He also served as advisor to the society.

He was the beloved husband of Carmella (née LaPalomento) and loving father of Raymond J., Philip S. and his wife Rosemary, Doris DiPrimio Corey, D.O., and her husband Patrick, John R. and his wife Joan, Diane Padula and her husband Bill, and Teresa Unger and her husband Matthew, and his stepchildren, Maryann Wells and her husband Charles, Karen Ambruso, George Papanier and his wife Julie and Gail Mager. He is also survived by 18 loving grandchildren and four cherished great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing tonight, 7-9 p.m., and Tuesday morning, April 19 from 8-9 a.m., at the Pennsylvania Burial Company, 1327-29 S. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19147 (ample parking available).

The funeral mass will be Tuesday morning, April 19 at 10 a.m. at
St. Monica Church, 2422 S. 17th St., Philadelphia, PA 19145. The interment will be at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.

His family requests that any donations made be done in his memory and designated to the Dr. Raymond DiPrimio Anatomy Lab​.
