BRUNCH AND BASKETBALL 2016

It’s that time of year again—mark your calendars for SMC’s annual Brunch & Basketball! You’re invited to join fellow alumni, faculty and friends as Hooter the Owl celebrates his birthday and the Temple University Owls take on the University of Central Florida Knights! Some new and exciting surprises are in store for you at this year's brunch! Let's just say the event is being kicked up a notch and will certainly leave you yelling, "Go Owls!" as you head to the basketball game to help Hooter the Owl celebrate his birthday! Last fall we celebrated the 2015 Lew Klein Alumni in the Media Awards and recognized the dedication and achievements of our Temple alumni and friends for their professional success. Today you are invited to nominate alumni you believe model the professionalism and media excellence inherent in the Lew Klein Alumni in the Media Awards. You are also encouraged to nominate a promising recent alumnus or alumna (Temple graduates from 2005–2015) for the 2016 Rising Star Young Alumni Honor. Friday, March 11, 2016 2 - 6 p.m. Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. 140 Broadway (between Liberty & Cedar Streets) New York, NY 10005-1101 The Metropolitan New York Chapter of the TUAA, in conjunction with Temple's School of Media and Communication, invites you to join 50 selected SMC students and faculty for a media panel moderated by Temple alumni in the heart of the lower Manhattan financial district. This hands-on session will feature successful Temple alumni who work in the New York media and communications market every day. VISION 2020: A SYMPOSIUM ON THE FUTURE OF ADVERTISING --- SAVE THE DATE!

Wednesday March 9th, 2016 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. As Temple University prepares to welcome the class of 2020, the Department of Advertising is already looking to the new decade by debuting a revamped and digitally-focused curriculum. Join us as Temple Department of Advertising Chair Dr. Osei Appiah, Marc Brownstein (Brownstein Group), Ryan Pearson (360i) and other industry executives and leaders discuss the future of advertising. A panel discussion moderated by Emmy-winning broadcast journalist Lu Ann Cahn and networking session will follow.
