We’re always looking for a reason to see you and figured looking at art and having drinks are a great reason! Join the Honors crew and your fellow alumni as we explore the current exhibition, International Pop, at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Walk through the exhibition with Honors alumna Eileen Owens who served as curatorial intern for the show. Admission to the PMA is Pay What you Wish on Wednesday nights. Following the exhibition, we will all gather at Paris Wine Bar for drinks and discussion.

RSVP to Jackie Everette by April 11 at j.everette@temple.edu or (215) 204-0710
An Idiot Abroad
By Seth Finck, Honors Academic Advisor
Rome
“I stared at the pristine white bowl and gesticulated wildly in front of the faucet. Nary a drop emerged. I’d resigned myself to having dirty hands because I couldn’t figure out the faucet when I attacked with one final huff of wounded pride. And miraculously, water appeared, bathing my soap-soaked hands in chilly bliss.

“Okay, it wasn’t THAT great to wash my hands, but I did feel a sense of victory for having accidentally defeated this mechanical obstacle. As many of you probably know, some sinks require foot pedal or button activation, a fact that until I accidentally flipped the switch had escaped me.

“Rome and I were off to a rough start. It’s not that I never feel like an idiot. Just rarely in a restroom.”

We Need You
We Need You!
Do you want to hang out in the Honors Lounge like you did in the days of yore? We are looking for a few good folks to join the Honors Alumni Council! The council meets a few times a year, usually quarterly, and helps plan upcoming Honors alumni events, create content for the newsletters and eat cheese. If you have been looking for a way to give back, we would love to have you!

Submit your application here.
Alumni Appalachia Trip
2017 marks the 10 year anniversary of Temple Honors taking students to Appalachia for an immersive week of work, fun, and reflection. We at Honors were thinking, maybe you wanted to come back, so tell us! We invite you to fill out the form
(Honors Appalachia Alumni) and let us know if you are interested.
Do you have a great idea?
Temple University's Blackstone LaunchPad is an innovative program that treats entrepreneurship as a viable career path by providing Temple students and alumni with the skills, knowledge and guidance to transform ideas into companies. To sign up for a one-on-one meeting or to get more info, click here. Interested in getting involved as a mentor? Email launch@temple.edu.
Do you have something to say?
Here at the Honors Program, we are proud of our alumni. When you show up to talk about your amazing experiences working for the UN or starting your own dance company, students are not only inspired but think you’re cool (and right they are)! If you have been looking for a way to give back, we would love to host you on campus for a day. We could set up a casual lunch with a few Honors students, put together a panel or create an evening program, all so that students can find out what it’s like out there in the real world. Let us know if you have any ideas or want to participate!
