Tyler Tribute Award Presented to Donna Corbin
Tyler saluted the accomplishments of alumna Donna Corbin, TYL ’76, ’92, at our graduation ceremony. Professor Dan Cutrone made a beautiful glass vase for the Tribute Award that was inspired by a unique venetian technique called “zanfirico,” or twisty cane.

Donna's career at the Philadelphia Museum of Art has spanned more than three decades, having started as a volunteer in 1981 and shortly thereafter joining the permanent staff. She currently is the Louis C. Madeira IV Associate Curator in the Department of European Decorative Arts, a position she has held since 2004.

Her work at the museum includes curating a number of notable exhibitions, including the major touring exhibition, Louis I. Kahn: In the Realm of Architecture, in 1991 and A Purer Taste of Forms and Ornaments: Josiah Wedgwood and the Antique in 2009.

Printmaking Alumni Gather at Tyler for Print Think
This year's Print Think conference drew over 80 participants from across the country, many of whom were alumni. The conference was a collaboration with Art in Print, the international bimonthly art magazine devoted to the history and culture of art and the printed image. The day was filled with artist presentations, and a demo-derby with six different demonstrations going at once was held in the printmaking studios. Watch out for upcoming details about next year's Print Think!
