Farm to Families

Dear ##FIRST NAME##,

I can talk about diet and nutrition to my patients all day long, but if a family doesn’t have access to healthy food, my words mean nothing.

North Philadelphia’s “food desert” has tremendous implications, including malnutrition, obesity, and diabetes. Children’s grades have even shown to drop at the end of the month when their family’s food stamps run out. And that’s why I’m asking for your help today.

Help bring fresh produce to North Philadelphia families this holiday season through the Farm to Families program.

Farms to Families brings low cost, fresh produce to families in North Philadelphia. With a “prescription” from a Temple doctor or with food stamps, families can buy fresh, organic produce year-round at a reduced price. For just a bit more, they can get dairy and meat too.

  • $25 feeds a family for a week
  • $125 feeds a family for a month
  • $1,000 feeds a family for a year

Give by December 15th and your gift will be doubled by a generous donor, adding up to a $25,000 nutritional boost to North Philadelphia families just in time for the holidays.

Filling a family’s kitchen with fresh food all year long could be the most long lasting gift you make this holiday season. Sponsor a family today.

Sincerely,

Ashleigh Hall, DO
Assistant Professor, Clinical Pediatrics
Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University

P.S. Gifts received by December 15th will be matched up to $25,000!
