Temple University now ranks among the top 4 percent of all four-year institutions in the nation, along with Harvard and MIT, in the newest Carnegie Classifications. Every five years, Carnegie ranks national research universities based on their research performance.

What does the new ranking mean for students who come to Temple? They will be taught by the best faculty, have opportunities to work on the best research projects and have an easier time getting into the best graduate programs.
