After months of waiting, today could be the day when members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives vote to approve Temple's Commonwealth appropriation. If approved by the House and signed by the governor, Temple will have $175 million in vitally needed funds to keep college education affordable and provide health care in North Philadelphia.
Last week, I asked you to write your legislators and you responded with more than 5,000 emails! Thank you.
Now, I am asking you to call your elected representatives in the Pennsylvania House and ask them to vote “yes” on Senate Bill 914. This request is urgent because the vote is expected to take place today.
To find your Pennsylvania State Representative, go to temple.edu/talon and follow these steps:
- Enter your address under “Find your elected officials” on the right side of the page and click “GO.”
-
Find your state representative and click on their name. (the second one down on the right on a desktop; fourth one down on mobile)
-
Scroll down to find the phone number for their Harrisburg Office.
-
Call the number and say “I stand with Temple University and urge you to support Senate Bill 914.
Thank you for making your voice heard on behalf of Temple University.
