Make your voice heard to restore Temple’s funding

Dear Temple Community Member:
To help break the state budget deadlock—a stalemate that has the potential to cause tuition increases, layoffs and service cuts that we all desperately want to avoid—Temple needs you to stand up and be counted.
If you reach out to decision makers in Harrisburg through TALON (the Temple Advocates Legislative Outreach Network) and spell out the price of the current eight-month delay in the Commonwealth appropriation, you’ll help us make our case.
If you’re a Pennsylvania resident, sign up for TALON today, and you can send a pre-written letter to your Pennsylvania state representative and state senator telling them to approve Temple’s funding.
Temple and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania have a long, strong partnership educating and caring for our citizens. But if Harrisburg does not approve our appropriation, Temple’s educational programs face a $150 million shortfall. The hospital faces a $26 million deficit.
Hopefully things won’t come to that—but our chances improve when you take a public stand. Please add your voice and stand with Temple. Tell state lawmakers what’s at risk.
As always, I’m deeply grateful for your support. |
