Make your voice heard to restore Temple’s funding
Temple University
Dear Temple graduate:

Pennsylvania’s budget crisis has kept Temple from receiving the funding it needs. Without this state support, we face the possibility of large tuition increases, layoffs and service cuts that all of us desperately want to avoid.

To help break the impasse, I’m asking you to reach out to state decision makers and help make our case.

If you’re a Pennsylvania resident, sign up today for TALON (the Temple Advocates Legislative Outreach Network), and you can send a pre-written letter to your Pennsylvania state representative and state senator asking them to approve Temple’s funding.
Make your voice heard
Our Commonwealth appropriation is not – has never been – an expense. It’s an investment in Temple graduates, researchers, and community.

We’ve already stewarded our resources carefully and made difficult spending cuts to keep the growth in university operating costs below the inflation rate. But if Harrisburg does not approve our appropriation, Temple educational programs face a $150 million shortfall. The hospital faces a $26 million deficit.

Hopefully things won’t come to that – but our chances improve when our alumni, who know Temple best, take a public stand.

Please add your voice and stand with Temple. Tell state lawmakers what’s at risk.

I’ll keep you updated on our progress. As always, I’m deeply grateful whenever you stand up for Temple.
Sincerely,
