Popcorn quiz

We’ve got a pop quiz for you, Owls, and it’s got literally nothing to do with popcorn. Well, actually, it’s the Princeton Review’s quiz and the good news is that it’s all about stuff you know so well. Stuff like Temple’s academics, your fellow students, social life, athletics and not stuff like how to make the best popcorn. It’s all to help future students by giving a complete picture of an Owl’s life in the Review’s “Best Colleges” guidebook. Plus, it can add value to your degree. The survey is completely anonymous and while you won’t be graded, you might score one of 10 free iPads.

A man and woman from Temple’s basketball teams.

I don’t know, what do you wanna do?

We wanna sneak into a basketball game! No, we wanna sneak into TWO basketball games and use TWO exclamation points to show our excitement!! And we know just the ones: The men’s game against Memphis on Wednesday and the women’s against USF on Sunday. And it turns out getting in is actually super easy ’cause the basketball games are super free for students with a TUid.

Men’s basketball: Wednesday, Jan. 25, 6 p.m., Liacouras Center, free
Women’s basketball: Sunday, Jan. 29, 12 p.m., McGonigle Hall, free

A quizzical squirrel and text asking, “What do you think?”

Here’s the deal

Judging by the level of excitement y’all exude when you get a free drink at the halal truck, you guys love deals. So here’s a deal-in-the-making worth knowing about: Temple Student Government is currently surveying students on their interest in purchasing a SEPTA TrailPass that would allow you to go anywhere—AKA all zones of regional rail, subways, trolleys and buses—at a discounted rate. All TSG needs you (actually, 11,000 of you) to do is answer a few simple questions, and they’ll handle the rest.
