Checkin’ off that box

What are you guys doing this month? Catching up on sleep at the TECH? Rearranging the cartons of J&H leftovers in your mini fridge? SAVING THE WORLD THROUGH GOOD DEEDS?! Good answer. Temple’s Global Days of Service, set for April 24–30, are uniting Owls and squirrels far and wide to collectively check off that “giving back” box on the semesterly to-do list. You can clean up North Broad, volunteer at a school, make a gift to Temple or just follow through on some random DIY act of kindness. They all count. (Literally, we’re counting.) Register by April 21 for an event, or log your good deeds to show how #TemplePaysItFwd.

...and so is your favorite middle school jam. That’s right, Owls, the days are flying by, so get your tickets to the April 20 Owlchella to go to (see) Flo Rida. And your ticket isn’t just admission to the perfect #tbt opportunity: Other performers include DNCE and Matthew Schuler. You can buy tix online, but you’ll get a student discount if you pick one up at the Liacouras Center Box Office.

Welcome to the club

Caps. Gowns. Drinks. Got it, seniors? In addition to all the standard essential items you’ll need to get in advance of graduation, you should grab a drink to toast to joining the Temple University Alumni Association. The happy hour will introduce the Class of ’17 to the many awesome aspects of being part of an exclusive club that includes 300,000+ fellow Owls. Registration includes two drink tickets and appetizers.

Thursday, April 20, 5:30–7:30 p.m., City Tap House Logan, register online (Seniors: $5 in advance, $10 to walk in)
