Bob Saget, SCT ’78
Bob Saget, who earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Temple’s School of Communications and Theater, is known worldwide for his television role on the long-running sitcom Full House and as the eight-year host of America’s Funniest Home Videos. Over the past decade, he has broadened his image to include a more adult audience with such films as The Aristocrats, the college cult favorite DirtyWork and the hugely successful DVD Farce of the Penguins. On the small screen, he has further captivated his audience with roles on Entourage, Huff and his HBO special, That Ain’t Right, which he followed with sold-out standup shows across North America.
In 2007, he starred on Broadway in the Tony-award-winning musical comedy The Drowsy Chaperone, for which he earned glowing reviews. Most recently, his sitcom Surviving Suburbia has aired on ABC, and he shot the pilot for a new comedy documentary series, an exploration of subcultures around the world, on the Arts and Entertainment network. In addition, he reprises his role on Entourage this fall and soon will embark on a new standup tour.
