Second Annual Treasures of North Philadelphia Open House

The Second Annual Treasures of North Philadelphia Open House will feature more than a dozen organizations making an impact in the arts and culture of North Philadelphia. Organized by the Department of Exhibitions and Public Programs at Tyler School of Art, Temple University and the North Philadelphia Arts and Culture Alliance, events and programs will demonstrate the breadth of activity happening on Temple's campus and in the surrounding community.

Activities include:

Performances by students from Temple's Boyer College of Music and Dance;
A tour of the newly renovated Baptist Temple
An artist talk at Cerulean Arts Gallery;
An exhibition with the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program;
A book signing at the Philadelphia Doll Museum;
A guided walking tour of historic mansions on North Broad Street with the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia;
Flamenco dance lessons at Raices Culturales Latinoamericanas;
A special art event at Temple Gallery, Tyler School of Art;
Student presentations at Tree House Books;
A student exhibition organized by the University Community Collaborative of Philadelphia, Temple University;
An Indian dance performance by Usiloquy at the Arts Garage;
A lecture and open house at the Wagner Free Institute of Science;
and much, much more!

Getting Around
A free shuttle bus, courtesy of Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, will loop the neighborhood. A schedule will be posted online at www.northphillyarts.org and will be available at each location the day of the event.
